Clutch Tests we can perform

We can test your old clutch and do a comparison with a new clutch and tell you the power/torque holding capacity difference of both units.
Clutch Release (Disengage), most makes and models need a maximum of 5.6mm bearing travel to release clutch plate with no drag, we can perform this test and let you know this spec.
How worn out your old clutch is, as long as we have your flywheel and clutch setup we can perform this test.
If your old clutch has lost down force clamp pressure, causing clutch to slip.
Diaphragm flatness test, normally when fingers are not even you will experience a shudder on clutch engagement.
Flywheel runout test to ensure ring gear and top face of flywheel are running true and not warped from heat.
Clutch plate runout test, lets us see if clutch plate linings are running true to the gearbox spline.

Affordable Pricing for Clutch Rebuilds

Most standard vehicle clutches, including classic cars, can be rebuilt for around $400 – $700 (excl GST). Some jobs, depending on the parts required may cost a bit more.

We will always discuss with you the price of your clutch rebuild prior to commencing the service. Timewise, for our clutch rebuilds, 90% can usually be completed within a week from the receipt of your clutch (assuming parts are readily available).

All clutch rebuilds are undertaken in NZ at our Upper Hutt workshop.

Tractor Clutch Rebuilds

For many farmers getting a clutch rebuild can quickly and easily extend the life of your farm asset, your tractor. Our clutch rebuilds cover most tractor brands, makes and models.

And for all our clutch rebuilds, 90% can usually be completed within a week from the receipt of your clutch (assuming parts are readily available). That gets your tractor back in good working condition quickly and with minimal fuss.

Pricing guide for a tractor clutch rebuild

Most tractor clutches can be rebuilt between $700 – $1500 (excl GST). Some jobs, depending on the parts required may cost a bit more. Be assured, we will always discuss with you the price of your clutch rebuild prior to commencing the service.

Our Quality Workmanship Guarantee

We take great pride in the quality of work, so all clutch rebuilds come with our workmanship guarantee along with any specific manufacturer’s parts warranty. Our workmanship guarantee covers the clutch rebuild for the period of the next 5000 kms or six-month period, whichever comes first. As we are not responsible for the quality of the work of the re-installation of the clutch, some terms and conditions apply. Please ask us about the Ts & Cs for your specific clutch rebuild.
